Additional validation documentation is required
and MUST be submitted within a 40 day time period. Failure to comply
with Registry Validation Requirements may result in your application
being rejected and loss of your non-refundable Application Fee. For
more information, please check the validation requirements at the
PricewaterhouseCooper validation web site. | | | Validation Process
During the Sunrise phases, the .EU Registry will validate each
Sunrise application for an .EU domain. The Registry and/or its
authorized Validation Agent, PricewaterhouseCooper, will contact the
applicant directly and request this documentation, which MUST be
provided within 40 days of the Registry's request.
If the
first Sunrise applicant for a name sends acceptable proof of their
right to the name within the 40 days provided, the Registry's
Validation Agent will examine the documentation provided by that
applicant.
If the documentation provided by the applicant
proves that a prior right exists or can be claimed, the application
shall be approved and that domain shall be registered to the
applicant. The domain will only be usable/begin resolving only after
a 40-day period-- during this period, errors or appeals may be
resolved by the .EU Registry.
Later applicants for the same
domain will be notified by the .EU Registry that their applications
were rejected by the Registry because a previous applicant was
awarded the domain name. If the first domain applicant fails to
provide acceptable documentation within 40 days, the application
shall be rejected and the Validation Agent will then check the
documentation from the applicant whose application was received
next--this may process may repeat till a valid claim is determined.
If none of the domain applicants are verified within the 40
days specified, the name will be unblocked and available for open
registration on a first come, first served (FCFS) basis on April 7,
2006. The validation process may take as long
as 6 months for certain domains |
